Maple Valley resident Mary, who makes a living as a Rail-track laying and maintenance equipment operator, submitted her 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt to us recently. The vehicle had approximately 198,000 miles on it when she sold it and she did have her title signed and ready to go. There was moderate body damage on the car like paint damage, dents, rust, etc and there weren't any flat or removed tires or wheels. Her car was able to start, however, she couldn't drive it. We offered her $375 on it and hauled the vehicle away free of charge around Sep 12.
"Steering is tight after multiple power steering pumps, gas door is off the car but the pieces are in the trunk. Great car, just cant afford to put more cash into it."
Here's what Mary had to say about her 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix and about us:
Yes. The left window is cracked and a bit of water got inside. I covered it up with plastic, but it smells very musty, the interior has some mold.
I replaced the battery fairly recently and it was working great. It started up with no issues.
I couldn't consider it safe to drive. The engine would cut out randomly when trying to accelerate, quite unsafe.
Yeah, the motor was in very good working order. There were no big problems with it that stopped it from starting.
Well I was looking to get around $550, but we now know that they are offering raw material prices and includes free hauling. I ended up with $375 cash for my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. Yeah it was lower than I was hoping for, but The Clunker Junker towed it away at no cost so that was helpful.

"It is property abandonment. Previous owner moved back to Alaska. I need to get it off the apartments' property. Been sitting in parking lot for over three months. Computer needs to be fixed and possibly the starter. "
"One deflated tire, 175,000 miles plus. I bought a new car because this one could not pass DC inspection. Changed the speedometer dashboard kit, still no reading. Was running three weeks ago. Now it will not start, may need a jump. "
"It's got ~204,000 miles. It's been a great and extremely reliable vehicle. The brakes, however, have gone out completely and it can't safely be driven right now. It needs major brake work and while in the shop it had a pressure test done to test for engine leaks because coolant leaking but it has never run hot or broken down. Needs a head gasket. Has brand new tires and brand new full tank of gas (85.00 / 21 gallons)."
"I'm in need of cash and looking to get something more eco-friendly. The interior trim of the hatch is gone and it needs new sway bar bushing. Other than that it runs great."
"There is a transmission that was put in under a year ago that has a lifetime warranty. There has been a lot of mechanical work done on the vehicle in the past year and now there is a problem with the engine. The interior is in great shape and all windows, etc., work. There is also a DVD player in the vehicle."
"Just under 190,000 miles. Car has been well taken care of. Has a few minimal transmission fluid leaks. Motor mounts were recently replaced. It needed oil very badly and the engine blew while driving as a result. "
