Foley resident Nedra, who makes a living as a Craft artist, recently sold us her 1991 Dodge Stealth. Her car started and was fully driveable with no major mechanical problems and there was moderate exterior damage on the car such as rust, dings, peeling clear coat, etc. The car had around 193,000 miles on it when The Clunker Junker purchased the car and all the wheels and tires were mounted and inflated. She had the pink slip. We towed her car away free of charge on Aug 26 and paid her $200 payment right there at the time of pickup.
"The car was t-boned on the passenger side. It's driveable. The car is rare. Has only 34,950 miles on it. Bought brand new. Was kept in showroom condition."
Here's what Nedra had to say about her 1991 Dodge Stealth and about us:
The rear taillight on the left side is broken, but it still works. The driver side mirror is broken but it is still there. Other than that, the mirrors and glass seem good.
It has a little front end accident damage. Nothing is missing or hanging, but the body work is all crunched up.
We installed a new battery not too long ago and it was working just great. Fired up with no problems.
The tires were very worn out, but they were all mounted and fully inflated. The car definitely could have used new ones, though!
You paid me the full $200 at the time of pickup in cash before they even looked at the vehicle. I just signed my title over and they exchanged me cash. I read stories about other buyers giving an amount and then changing it when they pick the vehicle up. I’m thrilled this wasn’t the case with The Clunker Junker.

"The junk van is 12 years old and is registered in another state. We do not have the title with us as we moved in December. "
"The car was running up until three weeks ago. It won't start at this time. I believe that based on what happens when I turn the key (no power to the starter) is that the starter solenoid needs to be replaced. I am getting rid this junk car since over the past year it has been nickel and dimming me one repair at a time."
"The scrap vehicle has electrical issues (replaced three alternators in two years), but will start with a jump or a charged battery. I don't know of any other major mechanical issues. "
"The side-view mirror is busted. The vehicle has several scratches and dents on it. The right passenger door isn't opening all the way. On the right side, the turning signal light is missing. The junk vehicle has approximately 194,300 miles on it still. I won't be driving the vehicle due to a damage to its tire and tie rod. which is why I am hoping to get a free tow and get cash for clunkers. Reason for towing: vehicle needs to be removed from the property parking space as soon as possible. Thank you!"
"Vehicle stalled. I replaced Battery and alternator to see if that was the problem, it wasn't. Returned Battery and alternator, so they are not in vehicle. Tires practically new. "
"The car is running, but I've been told it only has a little life left in the transmission, otherwise it would cost 1600 dollars to completely rebuild the transmission to keep it running. Other than that the tires and rims on the truck are brand new and have under 2000 miles on them still, hopefully I can get more cash for my vehicle, if not, I'm going to try and sell them separately to acquire the most I can get from this junk vehicle."
