Maybe your car is no longer Bonneville Salt Flats worthy, or maybe you wrapped it around one of Pando the Trembling Giant’s large roots in Fishlake National Forest. Either way, The Clunker Junker is here to help you get cash for cars in Utah! Our process is time tested and our customers love how efficient we are. We buy junk cars in Utah and promise the best rates for your car regardless of the condition (as long as it’s complete!).
Of course you do have other options when you want to sell a junk car in Utah. You could take your time with the tire kickers on sites like Craigslist. Keep in mind, you’re not selling a desirable car in top condition. The number of people actually interested in a wrecked car, or a car with mechanical issues is very limited. We’ve got buyers next to every national forest, so in Utah’s case, that’s buyers in every county.
You could also drive your car to that guy with the sign on the side of the road that says he buys junk cars. Except, your car doesn’t drive so you’ll have to pay for a tow. That’s pricey. And you know what will happen if you don’t like the offer he gives you? You’re going to be paying for a tow home. With The Clunker Junker, you’ll know what your offer is up front.
I guess you could also just drive it into Bingham Canyon mine, though that’s probably frowned upon by law enforcement. We do not condone that kind of behavior. Plus, with about 300 sunny days a year, why would you ever want to spend them locked up?
From Salt Lake City to the Four Corners to the Crystal Hot Springs, if you’re going to sell your junk car in Utah we will buy it. Just follow our easy three-step process and let us do the rest! You’ll get top dollar for your junk car, guaranteed, no stress needed.
First fill out our easy form on this page. You'll be asked for the make, model, year, and what condition your vehicle is in. With proper confirmation that you're the legal owner, we can still pay cash for junk cars with no title in some cases, but not all.
Other Utah junk car buyers can't compare to our rates, we give you a cash offer instantly unlike other establishments who may get back to you after two weeks. The best professional junk car buyers work with us which guarantees the most cash for cars in Utah.
Forget stressing about towing fees with the Clunker Junker. Our exceptional customer service agents work with you and your schedule, providing a hassle-free towing service that pays you the quoted price to pick up your car. We're the best in Utah for junk car removal.
We will buy your junk car for cash, but each car’s value is based on its condition. To give you an idea on what your car may be worth, check out these three groups.
This thing could’ve been pulled out the Great Salt Lake and no one would be surprised. The worth of these cars is what can only be measured as scrap metal at the auto salvage yards. What we pay is dependent on size and weight. Scrap prices are on the lower side in Utah compared to the rest of the country. Expect between $35 and $100 for real clunkers.
These aren’t just scrap metal, in fact there may be parts that can be salvaged before the body is crushed for scrap at the junk yard. We pay better rates for these vehicles.
If your car isn’t your style, but it’s in good condition, we can pay more cash for your junk car in Utah depending on their current auction value. These vehicles have no real limit on price and we’ve paid more than $10,000 for some vehicles.
We have put together a simple guide and example for how to sign your Utah title when you are selling your vehicle. If there are multiple owners listed on the title, they must all sign the title unless the names are separated with "OR".
The process for getting a duplicate or replacement Utah title is fairly simple. If the vehicle was last titled in a state other than Utah you must apply for a duplicate title in the previous state. The registered owner should do the following:
Division of Motor Vehicles Mail and Correspondence P.O. Box 30412 Salt Lake City, UT 84130
Getting rid of an abandoned vehicle in Utah can be a difficult process. Unfortunately, you cannot just sell any junk car that ends up on your property if you do not own it. You'll need to follow the Utah abandoned vehicle removal procedures. We have given a general overview of what that entails below.

Sure can! Not every car, but we can buy some. It’ll depend on how old your car is and the exact location. No matter what, you’ll need to prove ownership with a matching photo ID and registration or insurance card. Also, your offer will probably be much lower without title.
Utah often changes their title documents from year to year. If you have questions about your specific title, please contact your Utah MVD.
Yes, unless you are transferring the plates to a new vehicle. You can return the plates to your local MVD office.
You will need to notify your auto insurance company that you have sold the vehicle so they can either cancel your policy if the vehicle was sold, or transfer/renew the policy on your new vehicle.

"The rear driver-side tire is flat. It needs a sub frame bushing, an inner tie rod, outer tie rod stabilizer links and a ball joint. I'm just looking to junk it because I have a running car and don't have the cash to put into this Buick. "
"The vehicle is a 1986 First Edition Mercury Sable. It has 61,401 miles on it and is a 3.0L V6. It's a great car with a lot of potential. It just needs some TLC. The engine has very low mileage and would make a great project car. It's very rare. There are not many left of its kind. It ran great the entire year that I had it, but it's not currently running and hasn't since February. The car will start and run for a short while before cutting off. It did not take it for diagnostics, so I'm unsure of what the exact cause is. It needs two new axle mounts, it needs the brakes changed, and it has some oil leakage. I recently replaced the rims and changed the tires. It needs a paint job, one headlight is out, and the center light bar is missing. The hood is slightly bent, and the gas level gauge sticks a bit, but the trip gauge works. A tank of gas will get you just over 240 miles. The air conditioning and heat work well, but the knob is broken. It has overall clean interior. The power windows and locks work. It has an MP3 compatible radio and CD player with an aux line. The front speakers work, but the back ones don't work very well. It has cruise control and the original owners manual."
"It will start and run, but the battery is dead. It has custom rims and a cool air intake as well as a brand-new, stage two clutch in it with less than 100 miles on it."
"The driver-side mirror is the only damaged mirror. All of the other mirrors are fine. There is damage to the front of the car. The car is drivable and currently legally driven."
"The car died downtown yesterday at a metered parking spot. People tell me that it might just be the starter or the alternator, but I've just got to cut my losses. I recently fixed quite a few things on this car. I fixed up the brakes, put in new plugs and wires and a new blower motor as well as new front tires. I told myself that was the last fix, though. It'll probably run for quite a while once it gets started again. "
"Engine overheated, and I don't want to drive it anymore or get it fixed. The front end is damaged by someone backing into it at very low speed, but the bumper is not attached well."
