How long does the process take?
We can often pick up the majority of vehicles in Tupelo within 1 to 3 business days. However, your local buyer or carrier takes care of all their own pick up schedules, so we can't ever guarantee a specific time or day for pickup on the buyer's behalf. Same day pickups are sometimes possible, but never guaranteed.
What form of payment will be made, cash or check?
Whether you are paid by business check or cash depends on the requirements of the buyer near you who makes an offer on your vehicle. While some of our buyers do pay cash for cars, a lot have moved to check for the safety of truck drivers and better record keeping. If you are paid via business check, don't forget that The Clunker Junker fully backs up every payment and will pay you the full amount if there is any issue with the local buyer!

Here is what other customers have said:
"My ex had the keys and I needed to move it, so I tried cutting some ignition wires and hot wiring it before I replaced the ignition cylinder. That is the only reason the car will not start and run (because of the cut wires). The wires can easily be reconnected and it will run fine. The front and rear sway bars are upgraded. Most of the interior and panels/trim are missing. The radiator and fan have less than 300 miles on them but there is an electrical or wiring issue that I have not had time to figure out. The car overheats if it sits running for too long. It has three good wheels and tires, two on the front and one on the back, and a "donut" on the rear passenger side that is deflated. It has a fairly new hooked cat back exhaust system on it, and is a "historic" car, so emissions do not apply to it. I would like to keep the T-tops but that can be negotiated. I also have all new weatherstripping for the car if the buyer decides they would like to keep the T-tops, which can also be negotiated. The engine is a sbc 305 v8. I have replaced the intake gaskets on it also around 300 miles ago."
"The engine starts, but I can hear a banging noise inside from something broken inside. The car should not be driven or let run for the engine will completely give out. "
"If you put a new battery in the car it will crank right up. I do have to pump up the tires on the rear it's been sitting under a carport about for 3 months."
"This vehicle has roughly 258,xxx miles on it. It has been a NV car most of its' life. There are a few dents in the side, and trunk deck lid, but can all be repaired. The vehicle will start and drive, but the battery is completely dead, so it takes a while to jump off. I'm selling because this is just an extra vehicle, and has hardly been driven lately; really need it out of my yard."
"It needs fuel filter and battery. The windshield is cracked. There's one scratch on the right side bed of truck. It has a brand new braking system, including calipers and rotors. That cost $500.00 and we bought the truck for $1,100."
"I need to sell me Jetta because I can't afford the repairs. My mechanic said it's a possible ECU or TCM issue. I recently had new OEM fuel pump installed, heater core replaced, OEM valve body replaced this year, and other maintenance and repairs. I have paper work. Still all original, no chips or mods. Thanks!"
