While most tourists know Colorado for its beautiful Rocky Mountains, skiing villages and chalets, the majority of Coloradans are struggling to get by just like the rest of America. At the Clunker Junker, we understand that, and we recognize that one of the main reasons why our customers choose to sell us their cars is because they need money and quickly. You might not be able to wait two weeks to receive cash or a check, which is why we aim to pick up cars in less than three business days in most cases and pay when we collect the vehicle.
Your junk car just doesn’t fit in with the beautiful scenery of places like the Garden of the Gods, Pike’s peak, or Mesa Verde. It’s time to get that rotting hunk of metal out of your driveway and free up some valuable space in your garage or driveway. If you need cash for junk cars in Colorado, The Clunker Junker has you covered with the best offers and the fastest, friendliest, and most professional service available.
We Buy Junk Cars in Colorado Fast and Free
We’re not here to nickel and dime you. We want you to be out there enjoying the Rocky Mountains, rather than driving up and down the highway looking for the best junkyard to sell your car to. Which is why we make it our mission to give you a fair price the first time around and to pick up your car free of charge within three working days, rather than making you drive it to a collection location. That’s the Clunker Junker promise, which is why so many Coloradans choose us when they want to sell their cars. Fill out the quote form on this page and sell your car in Colorado today.

Eric's Expert Take
Eric is our founder and CEO and has nearly 15 years of experience buying and selling used and junk cars in the state of Colorado. He is also a data nerd with a finger on the pulse of the cash for cars industry and salvage vehicle values.
Hey, I’m Eric and I work for The Clunker Junker! Based on the offers we recently received in Colorado, the average payment is around $649. If you have a smaller vehicle, such as a Honda Civic, the average offer is $590. For pickups, like a Ford F-150, the average offer is $839, and SUVs and crossovers, such as a Toyota RAV4, have an average offer of $724.
Recently, The Clunker Junker has purchased a whopping 13640 vehicles and paid over 9 Million dollars in total! Among these vehicles, the most popular one in Colorado is the Jeep Grand Cherokee, an SUV. Common problems associated with the Jeep Grand Cherokee may include engine issues, malfunctioning electrical systems, transmission problems, fuel system failures, or suspension issues. Given the costs associated with repairing these issues, it is often a good idea to sell the car instead of fixing it.
It looks like used car prices in Colorado are staying fairly consistent, with only a 1.0% change each month. This market has been stable for the past year and shows no signs of shifting any time soon. This makes it the perfect time to capitalize on this trend and sell your car for top dollar! I will be monitoring the market and will be sure to provide you with the latest up to date information regarding pricing trends.
How to sign your Colorado car title
We have put together a simple guide and example for how to sign your Colorado title when you are selling your vehicle. If there are multiple owners listed on the title, they must all sign the title unless the names are separated with "OR".
- Be sure you are using the "Assignment by owner(s)" section on the top of the back side of the title. Do not sign or print in the dealer reassignment sections!
- Sign your name on the back of the title where indicated by "Seller(s) Signature" (see image).
Always sign in pen on the seller line, and never sign in the dealer section.
- Hand print your name on the back of the title, where it says "Seller's hand printed name(s)". Always include any and all middle names or initials that are used in the owner section.
How to get a duplicate Colorado title
The process for getting a duplicate or replacement Colorado title is fairly simple. If the vehicle was last titled in a state other than Colorado you must apply for a duplicate title in the previous state. The registered owner should do the following:
- Fill out the Colorado Duplicate Title Request and Receipt form.
- Obtain a Secure and Verifiable Identification for vehicles purchased after July 1st, 2006.
- Bring your application for duplicate title to your local DMV office.
- The fee for a replacement Colorado title is $8.20. Please note, there may be a waiting period before a duplicate title can be issued.
How to get rid of an abandoned vehicle in Colorado
Getting rid of an abandoned vehicle in Colorado can be a difficult process. Unfortunately, you cannot just sell any junk car that ends up on your property if you do not own it. You'll need to follow the Colorado abandoned vehicle removal procedures. We have given a general overview of what that entails below.

- The vehicle can be removed by private tow
- To apply for the title, you must first attempt to locate the legal owner of the vehicle by using the 17-digit VIN number.

- If no owner or lienholder steps forward to express interest in the vehicle, you may apply for a Colorado state title.
